The state government health service had a requirement for the procurement of a Telehealth Services provider, specialising in the provision of dietitians.
Caliba were engaged to facilitate an end-to-end procurement process for a Telehealth Services provider with a total contract value of approx. $40m over a 5-year term. The focus was the provision of dietetic services for priority populations and those people meeting specific acceptance criteria.
Caliba engaged the market to understand which companies provided virtual dieticians and the platforms used to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. The comprehensive market engagement allowed Caliba to generate an attractive, open market Request for Tender that resulted in quality respondents. Caliba facilitated a complex evaluation process in line with government procurement policies, which allowed the client to better understand their clinical and operational needs.
From the preferred tenderer, Caliba negotiated approximately $1 million of savings over the contracted term and promoted service co-design and innovation. Caliba also supported with the transition in of the new service provider.
